FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Answers about SabotTX sculpture, custom fabrication, and production. Product-specific information takes precedence whenever it differs from these general answers.
WHAT DOES SABOTTX PRODUCE?
SabotTX develops devotional and fine-art sculpture, custom components, and precision-fabricated objects through digital design, production engineering, and additive manufacturing.
ARE SABOTTX PRODUCTS MADE TO ORDER?
Not necessarily.
Standard products may be produced in advance and maintained as build-to-stock inventory. Custom, personalized, or customer-specified products may be manufactured after an order or project agreement is approved.
The applicable product page or custom quote will identify relevant production and processing information.
ARE ALL WEBSITE IMAGES PHOTOGRAPHS OF FINISHED PRODUCTS?
Not necessarily.
During product development, some images may be clearly identified as approved renderings, digital representations, or temporary placeholders. Product pages will distinguish development imagery from finished-production photography when appropriate.
DO YOU ACCEPT CUSTOM PROJECTS?
Yes.
SabotTX accepts select custom sculpture and precision-fabrication projects. Use the Custom Work form to describe the project, intended use, approximate dimensions, materials, schedule, and available reference information.
Acceptance of a custom project depends on technical feasibility, production capacity, intellectual-property considerations, and project requirements.
CAN SABOTTX PRODUCE A 3D MODEL THAT I FOUND ONLINE?
Potentially.
The model must permit the requested use under its license, and the file must be suitable for reliable physical production.
The customer is responsible for having the necessary rights or permission to use submitted files, designs, images, trademarks, or other reference materials.
SabotTX may decline a project when ownership, licensing, or permitted use cannot be reasonably established.
WHAT SHOULD I INCLUDE WITH A CUSTOM-WORK INQUIRY?
Include:
- A clear project description
- Reference images
- Approximate dimensions
- Intended application
- Material or color requirements
- Preferred completion timeframe
- Any available 3D or CAD files
- Any important fit, strength, appearance, or environmental requirements
More complete information generally allows SabotTX to evaluate feasibility and prepare an accurate project specification.
WHAT MATERIALS AND COLORS ARE AVAILABLE?
Available materials and colors depend on the product or project requirements.
The applicable product page or custom quote will identify the selected material, color, finish, and other relevant production specifications.
Colors displayed on screens can differ from physical materials because of lighting, photography, display calibration, filament production variation, and manufacturing conditions.
HOW LONG DOES PROCESSING OR PRODUCTION TAKE?
Processing time is stated on the applicable product page or custom quote.
For build-to-stock products, processing generally includes order review, final inspection, packaging, and preparation for shipment.
Custom or made-to-order work may also require digital preparation, material allocation, manufacturing, assembly, finishing, and additional inspection.
Processing time is separate from carrier transit time.
DOES SABOTTX REVIEW MODELS FOR PRINTABILITY?
Yes.
Models are evaluated for factors including dimensions, wall thickness, geometry, support requirements, assembly, structural risk, surface quality, orientation, and suitability for the intended production method.
A model that appears acceptable digitally may still require modification before reliable physical production is possible.
WILL FDM/FFF 3D-PRINTED PRODUCTS HAVE VISIBLE LAYER LINES?
Yes, to some degree.
FDM/FFF additive manufacturing builds objects one layer at a time. Layer lines, seams, minor surface variations, support-contact marks, and other process characteristics may therefore be visible.
These characteristics vary by geometry, material, orientation, layer height, color, lighting, and production requirements.
Additional information is available in the FDM Product Disclosure.
ARE 3D-PRINTED PARTS IDENTICAL FROM ONE UNIT TO ANOTHER?
No manufacturing process produces perfectly identical physical objects.
Minor dimensional, surface, color, texture, and appearance variations may occur between FDM/FFF production units while remaining within the intended functional and visual requirements of the product.
Product-specific specifications take precedence when provided.
CAN HEAT AFFECT FDM/FFF PRODUCTS?
Yes.
Thermoplastic materials can soften, deform, or change dimension when exposed to sufficiently high temperatures.
Do not leave products in unusually hot environments, near heating appliances, or in other conditions beyond their intended use unless the product documentation specifically states that such exposure is acceptable.
Additional handling and transit information is available in the FDM Product Disclosure.
HOW DOES SHIPPING WORK?
Available shipping methods, delivery estimates, and applicable charges are displayed during checkout.
Some products may include free shipping when specifically stated on the product page or during checkout.
See the Shipping page for complete shipping and processing information.
WHAT IS THE RETURN POLICY?
Eligible build-to-stock standard products may generally be returned when SabotTX is contacted within 30 calendar days after delivery, subject to the conditions in the Returns and Cancellations policy.
Custom, personalized, made-to-order, altered, or customer-specified products may have different return restrictions.
See Returns & Cancellations for complete terms.
WHAT IF MY ORDER ARRIVES DAMAGED OR INCORRECT?
Retain the product, all protective packaging, the shipping carton, and the shipping label.
Contact SabotTX promptly with your order number and clear photographs of the product and packaging so the issue can be reviewed.
Reporting shipping damage within 7 calendar days is strongly recommended.
